WTCR season opening event at Most was cancelled

After the cancellation of the Russian WTCR event at Sochi, the FIA and series promoter Discovery Sports Events have been forced to cancel the season opener at Most as well in response to the state of emergency that was declared in Czech Republic. This was done to enable all available resources to be channelled towards helping those displaced by the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Because it is not possible to reschedule the Czech event to a date later in the season due to logistical issues, discussions are ongoing to finalise details of a replacement event. 

The season will now start at France’s Circuit de Pau-Ville.
