The Belgian outfit Boutsen Ginion Racing announced its participation in the 2018 WTCR with two new Honda Civic Type R TCR cars.
The team comes from two successful seasons with the previous Honda Civic model that resulted in two TCR Benelux titles with Stéphane Lémeret in 2016 and Benjamin Lessennes in 2017 and one race victory in last year’s TCR International Series with Aurélien Panis at Buriram.
Team Manager Olivier Lainé said: “Our team is facing a new nice challenge! We are delighted to have the opportunity to compete in the FIA WTCR World Cup. After two successful seasons it was obvious that we wished to continue with Honda. We are eagerly waiting for the start of the first tests.”
The name of the drivers will be unveiled in due course.
