WSC Ltd, owner of the TCR brand, welcomes Maurício Slaviero as the latest, significant addition to its staff.
A former racing driver with experience in Indy Lights and South American Formula 3, born in Brazil, Slaviero has distinguished himself in recent years as a successful promoter.
From 1999 to 2008 he was co-founder and president of Speed Sports Marketing, an agency specialized in managing racing drivers, promoting Sports Events and Sports Marketing Activation.
Later on, from 2009 to 2016, Slaviero was president of Vicar, promoter of the Brazilian Stock Car championship, Brasileiro de Marcas (BRTCC), Mercedes Benz Challenge, Mini Challenge, Brasileiro de Turismo and F3 Brazil.
CEO Marcello Lotti commented: “When Maurício told me about his plans to move to Europe, I did not think twice and invited him to join us. With his marketing expertise and vast knowledge of motor sports, he will prove to be an invaluable asset for our company.”
Maurício Slaviero, added: “This is a brand new challenge for me. WSC is a young by extremely dynamic company that has been able to revolutionize the concept of Touring Car competition at a global level, in only three years. I have a powerful motivation to bring my own contribution to its further development.”
Slaviero made his first outing in the new role last week at Monza, during the TCR International Series event.
