WSC Ltd. has launched a TCR global SIM Racing programme that will enable all the promoters of the TCR-sanctioned championships and series to set up virtual races featuring all the TCR-homologated cars.
“The emergency measures triggered by the coronavirus are affecting sports events on a global scale and have forced all of our licensed promoters to review their schedules, cancelling or postponing events that were due to take place in the first half of the year. In order to keep drivers and fans alike engaged until it’s possible to hit the racetracks again, the logical step was to set up e-sports events,” WSC president Marcello Lotti explained.
“We have therefore decided to launch the official TCR SIM Racing programme, the only one that will feature all the TCR-homologated cars. We are currently in negotiations with the interested promoters to extend our agreement to virtual racing.”
“The spread of the coronavirus is affecting the lives and activities of us all. We must keep our distance to stay safe, and so TCR SIM Racing will serve to keep the TCR community united during these times of social separation. For the time being, we race at home!”
