His name is a legend in Touring Car competitions. A legend erected on three World and one European FIA titles, all claimed in four consecutive years.
Andy Priaulx, Briton from the Guernsey Island, won the 2004 ETCC and then three times the WTCC from 2005 to 2007 for BMW Motorsport.
Priaulx is still driving for BMW, although he has now switched to GT racing. However he still keeps an expert’s eye on tin top competitions, which is why we have asked him an opinion about the TC3 concept.
“I think TC3 will offer many young drivers a great platform to hone their Touring Car skills in a what could be an extremely competitive International series. It also has the potential to offer drivers, sponsors and partners high media visibility at international events to further showcase their talent. I also expect the Balance of Performance between the cars to make for some extremely close racing.”
