WestCoast Racing will welcome Sunny Wong, a leading protagonist in the China Touring Car Championship, for the TCR International Series’ finale on the streets of Macau. Wong has just scored a brilliant victory for Teamwork Citroën,in the final round of the CTCC Production class at Beijing, which helped him to finish fourth in the Drivers’ Championship. He will make his TCR debut in a fourth WestCoast Racing Honda Civic TCR alongside the team’s regulars, Gianni Morbidelli and Kevin Gleason, as well as former World Champion and seven-time Macau winner, Rob Huff, who will also make his TCR debut on the Guia circuit.
“I am very excited about racing for WestCoast Racing at Macau,” said Wong. “Although I don't have experience with this particular car, I think I can adapt to it quickly on the Guia circuit. The team’s driver line-up is also very strong. I don’t expect to be able to match Kevin, Gianni and Rob for pace, but I will certainly try my very best to learn from the big boys and support them throughout the event. I had conversations with Rob earlier this year. He is very kind and agreed to teach me some of his Macau tricks, so I guess I already have a head start!”
