The 2018 VLN Langstreckenmeisterschaft will kick off Saturday at the Nürburgring Nordschleife with the 64. ADAC Westfalenfhart over the distance of four hours.
Gabriele Tarquini and Nicola Larini will be the guest stars of the TCR class at the wheel of a Hyundai i30 N TCR run by Target Competition. The last time the two Italians had been teammates was fifteen years ago, at Alfa Romeo in the 2003 FIA European Touring Car Championship. Another Target driver is Jae Kyun Kim, engineer at the R&D Centre of Hyundai Motor in South Korea.
There will be nine teams in the TCR class: two Target Competition Hyundai cars, three Kissling Motorsport-built Opel Astra TCR cars, two of them run by Lubner Motorsport, one Audi RS3 LMS and one Peugeot 308 Racing Cup for Bonk Motorsport, and two CUPRA TCR cars.
The 4-hour race will start at 12:00.
