Toyota Gazoo Racing Argentina to build the Corolla TCR

Toyota Gazoo Racing Argentina was designated by Toyota Gazoo Racing as responsible for the homologation and subsequent development, production and sales of Toyota vehicles for TCR competition. A fact that marks a milestone in history of Toyota Gazoo Racing Argentina and is also of enormous value for Argentine motoring industry.
The model chosen for Toyota's premiere in TCR competition is the Corolla sedan. The technical and engineering works have already begun at the Toyota Gazoo Racing Argentina headquarters. The technical approval process of the vehicle will be initially coordinated from there and once finalized and approved by WSC, it will be able to participate in all TCR series, including the WTCR FIA World Touring Car Cup.
Over the years, Toyota has participated in different motorsports competitions, including Formula 1, the World Endurance Championship and the Nürburgring 24 Hours. These activities were developed by different company teams: Toyota Racing, Lexus Racing and Gazoo Racing. On this occasion, Toyota Gazoo Racing Argentina will be the exclusive manufacturer of the Corolla TCR sedan for the customer teams.
The designation of Toyota Gazoo Racing Argentina as responsible for the entire execution of this global project represents a new international recognition to the management of a team with more than twenty years of experience in local motorsports.
