The Top Run Subaru TSi TCR, scheduled to make its debut in the TCR International Series this weekend, finally arrived at the circuit after a troubled journey from the team’s base in Italy. Despite a police escort through the streets of Singapore, the transporter carrying the car narrowly missed the arrival deadline and reached the paddock after the Qualifying session had ended.
A series of delays leaving Europe finally saw the Subaru arrive at Kuala Lumpur airport in the early hours of this morning. It was then driven across Malaysia and arrived at Singapore customs this afternoon. As the window of opportunity for delivery steadily narrowed, the team was all set to get the car running in time to take part in Qualifying, but were beaten by the clock.
