The TCR season in Canada kicks off at Bowmanville

TCR racing opens a new chapter in Canada, with the opening event of the Sports Car Championship Canada (SCCC) promoted by FEL Motorsport at Bowmanville’s Canadian Tire Motorsport Park.

A field of fourteen cars have entered for the event and this includes some of the most competitive local TCR drivers, such as Gary and Tom Kwok in their M&S Racing Honda Civic Type R cars, Ron Tomlinson and Edward Killeen at the wheel of two Audi Ras 3 LMS II cars run by TWOth Motorsport, Jérimy Daniel and Jean-François Hevey in another pair of second-generation Audi cars entered by TRC Motorsport, and the Hyundai Racing Canada trio of Bob Attrell and his sons Connor and Quinn. Bob and Quinn will drive Elantra N cars, while Connor will sit in a Veloster N.

Another Veloster N has been entered by OTSFF Sports Marketing Group for Canada's best lady driver Demitria Chalkias.

The SCCC competitors will take part in two 40-minute races.
