The TCR Scandinavia championship pays its first visit to Denmark, as Rounds 11 and 12 will be run this weekend at Jyllandsringen.
The four-way fight for the title will resume, with the 2017 champion Robert Dahlgren (PWR Racing, CUPRA) eager to defend his leadership in the standings. Dahlgren retired from Race 2 of the previous event at Karlskoga and so his margin was reduced to 15 points over Tobias Brink (Brink Motorsport Audi RS 3 LMS) who won the race and moved into the second position in the championship.
Brink's teammate Andreas Wernersson dropped to third, a further three points adrift, while Andreas Ahlberg (Micke Kågered Racing, VW Golf GTI) is the fourth contender in the title fight, 24 points behind Dahlgren.
The event marks the first appearance of three local drivers in the series: Martin Jensen, who replaces Louise Frost in the Insight Racing Alfa Romeo Giulietta, former Danish Touring Car champion Casper Elgaard (Massive Motorsport, Honda Civic FK7) and rallyman Marco Gersager (Hyundai Team Denmark, Hyundai i30 N). Insight racing will also run a new Alfa Romeo Giulietta for the 21-year-old Norwegian Kristian Sætheren and the usual Honda Civic FK2 for Jonas Lynge. Another Dane, Kim Lund, rejoins the field in the Madbull Racing CUPRA DSG.
Both races will be streamed live at www.tcr-series.com and www.tcr-series.tv on Sunday at 11:40 and 15:45 local time (CET) respectively.
