The season of the ADAC TCR Germany is about to finish, with back-to-back events at the Lausitzring this weekend and Oschersleben next week. Four races with a total of 106 points on offer to elect the new champion.
Harald Proczyk (HP Racing International, Hyundai i30 N) took the lead in the standings after the previous rounds at the Red Bull Ring. Proczyk has built a 12-point gap over the previous leader Dominik Fugel (Team Honda Sacshen, Honda Civic Type R). The third contender is Antti Buri (Team Engstler, Hyundai i30 N) who lies five further points adrift.
A couple of other drivers may still have a shot at the title, Jan Seyffert and Marcel Fugel who are currently 42 and 55 points behind the leader. However, they would rather play a supporting role towards their respective teammates: Proczyk for Seyffert and his brother Dominik for Marcel Fugel.
On the occasion of the championship's previous visit at the Lausitzring that opened the season on August 1st and 2nd, the races were won by Nico Gruber (Team Engstler, Hyundai i30 N) and Dominik Fugel.
The Lausitzring races will start Saturday at 13:00 and Sunday at 11:30 (local time, CET); both will be streamed live at www.tcr-series.com.
