TCR Australia resumes for its second event at Phillip Island, five weeks after the season opened at Symmons Plains.
Josh Buchan (HMO Customer Racing, Hyundai i30 N) leads the standings with a margin of two points over independent driver Zac Soutar (Soutar Motorsport, Honda Civic Type R), while Tony D'Alberto (Wall Racing, Honda Civic Type R), and Jordan Cox (Garry Rogers Motorsport, Peugeot 308) are placed third and fourth with gaps of four and 12 points.
Cox and Soutar were the winners in Symmons Plains' races 2 and 3, while the first race was won by Jay Hanson at the wheel of the new Audi RS 3 LMS model run by MPC Racing.
The meeting in Phillip Island will mark the first appearance in the season for Iain McDougall (MPC Racing, Audi) and Michael Clemente (Clemente Motorsport, Honda); their arrival and the confirmation that Fabian Coulthard will race again in a Wall Racing Honda, brings the field up to 21 cars.
