The Dutch CUPRA continues leading in Spa after 300 laps

At the end of the night and after 300 laps, the Red Camel-Jordans.nl CUPRA currently driven by Pepe Oriola continues its leading ride in the TCR Spa 500, when less than eight hours are left.
The orange car is chased by the DG Sport Compétition Peugeot 308 of Julien Briché that has a gap of four laps, while Antti Buri follows one further lap down in the CUPRA run by TOPCAR Sport.
Another CUPRA, entered by Viper Niza Racing is well placed in fourth position in the same lap as the TOPCAR, with Fariqe Hairuman at the wheel; the Malaysian team is leading the PRO-AM class.
Fifth, with a gap of ten laps from the leaders, is the Burton Racing Peugeot 308 driven by Caren Burton.
During the night, Peter Gross crashed the Wimmer Werk Motorsport CUPRA at 4:30am, while one hour later Charles Espenlaub’s Vmax Engineering Opel Astra and Eric Kwong’s Bas Koeten Racing’s Audi collided and the incident resulted in the withdrawal of the Opel.
The GDL Australia Audi lost several laps in the pits to replace the water pump and so lost the chances to fight for a podium position.
The final part of the race is due to be wet, as the rain is expected in a couple of hours.
