For its second event, the ADAC TCR Germany pays its first visit of the season to Austria, moving to the Red Bull Ring.
Martin Andersen is the leader of the standings after the season opener at Oschersleben where the Danish driver set pole position for both races, finished second in Race 1 after making a poor start and then won Race 2. At the wheel of his Engstler Motorsport Honda Civic Type R, Andersen scored 65 points in the weekend from the 70 at stake, building a 15-point advantage over Lithuania's Jonas Karklys in the Juta Racing Hyundai i30 N.
Jessica Bäckman, who took the most out of Andersen's mistake at the start and won Oschersleben's first race in her ROJA Motorsport Hyundai Veloster N, is lying third, six points behind Karklys and four ahead of her teammate René Kircher who drives a Hyundai i30 N.
At the Red Bull Ring, Dorian Guldenfels will make his maiden appearance in the series, driving a CUPRA Leon Competición for NS Competition.
