Team Mulsanne and Alfa Romeo return to WTCR

Romeo Ferraris will be contesting the 2020 FIA WTCR. For the third year in a row, Team Mulsanne will enter the Alfa Romeo Giulietta Veloce in the World Touring Car Cup. The Italian outfit made history by taking pole position and victory with Kevin Ceccon at Suzuka in 2018 and replicated the success at the Slovakia Ring in 2019 with Ma Qing Hua, bringing back the Alfa Romeo brand to success in touring car racing after one decade.

Michela Cerruti, Romeo Ferraris Operations Manager explained: “A lot of things have changed in recent months, but not our approach to racing and the way we live our passion. Contrarily to what was planned, the last year’s cars are still with us and it seemed logical to continue racing them. We have decided to support the plan of Team Mulsanne and the efforts of Eurosport for organizing the 2020 FIA WTCR in such complex and difficult times. We believe that it is important to give positive messages, also to our customer teams around the world. The six rounds of the championship are an exciting challenge that we take on with pleasure. Very shortly we will announce our line-up."
