TCR UK field grows to 27 cars for Donington

The TCR UK field grows to 27 cars for the second event of the year at Donington Park.

Compared to the season opener at Oulton Park, three new drivers have joined: Neil Trotter (Chameleon Motorsport), Mark Smith (Richmond Fire Motorsport) and Alex Ley (Daniel James Motorsport). The latter will drive a Hyundai i30 N, while the others will be at the wheel of CUPRA TCR cars. However, Callum Newsham (Power Maxed Racing, CUPRA TCR) will miss the event for the consequences of a recent illness.

The standings are led by Max Hart (JamSport Racing, Hyundai i30 N), followed by Chris Smiley (Restart Racing, Honda Civic Type R), the winner of Oulton Park's first race, and Isac Smith (Race Car Consultants, Volkswagen Golf GTI) who are three and twelve points behind the leader.

Following her impressive victory in Race 2 at Oulton Park, Jessica Hawkins (Area Motorsport, CUPRA) is placed fourth with a gap of twenty-one points.
