The second pre-season test of TCR South America took place yesterday in Buenos Aires, with three teams attending: PMO Racing, PMO Motorsport and Squadra Martino.
At PMO Racing, Ernesto Bessone tutored the four drivers who alternated at the wheel of the team’s Peugeot 308 cars: Argentina’s Ignacio Montenegro and Franco Farina and Uruguay’s Enrique Maglione and Juan Manuel Casella. The 17-year-old Montenegro was classified third in last year’s TC2000 championship, while Casella (24) has been twice champion in the Uruguayan Formula 4.
PMO Motorsport’s new recruit José Manuel Sapag joined Fabrizio Pezzini in testing the team’s Lynk & Co 03 cars.
Squadra Martino ran three Honda Civic Type R cars that were shared by Esteban Guerrieri, Fabio Casagrande, Juan Àngel Rosso and Javier Manta.
The championship will kick off in Brazil, at Autódromo Velocitta on 2/3 April.
