Only two races are left to award the 2020 TCR Russia title, and they will be staged Saturday at Fort Groznyi.
After leading the standings for most of the time, Kirill Ladygin is now on the verge to secure the first TCR title for LADA Sport. With an impressive tally of four race wins in his Vesta Sport, Ladygin has built a 31-point margin in the standings over his closest rival, Aleksey Dudukalo (LUKOIL Racing, Audi RS 3 LMS), when 53 are still at stake in the last event.
Dmitry Bragin (TAIF Motorsport, Hyundai i30 N) who has clinched the title four times in a row from 2016 to 2019 seems bound to renounce the crown, though he's still kept in contention by the numbers, as he's lying in third position, 40 points behind Ladigyn.
In fourth and fifth positions, with gaps of 45 and 46 points, are Klim Gavrilov (VRC-Team, Hyundai i30 N) and Ladygin's teammate Mikhail Mityaev; they both have only theoretical chances.
Live streaming of both races at www.tcr-series.com will be Saturday at 10:55 and 16:45 local time (09:55 and 15:45 CEST).
