The TCR family joins Schnitzer Motorsport, BMW Motorsport and the global racing community in paying respect to Charly Lamm who passed away at the age of 63 after a short illness.
Lamm has been one of the most successful team managers in modern racing. At the helm of the Schnitzer Motorsport team he achieved countless successes in Touring Car and Sportscars competitions, always with BMW cars.
In September 2018 he had announced his decision to relinquish the leadership to Herbert Schnitzer junior, son of the team founder and Lamm’s half-brother Herbert Schnitzer.
His last appearance on a racetrack was at Macau in November, when he joined Augusto Farfus on the podium after victory in the FIA GT World Cup.
Our deepest condolences go to Charly’s family and the team.
