The new TCR Korea championship kicks off this weekend at Yeongam's Korea International Circuit in a joint event with the TCR Asia Series.
Six drivers have entered for the inaugural event and its no surprise that four of them will be at the wheel of Hyundai i30 N cars.
Indigo Racing was the first team to commit to the new series and will run two Hyundai cars for Cho Hoon Hyun and Kang Byung Hui, the latter was part of the Hyundai Motorsport team at this year's 24H Nürburgring.
Two other Hyundai cars have been entered by KMSA Motorsport for Kang Dong Woo and E-Rain Motorsport for Lee Do Hyeon.
E-Rain Motorsport will also run a Volkswagen Golf GTI for Andrew Kim who is the most experienced of the pack, having raced GT cars in the Blancpain, Asian Le Mans, Pirelli World Challenge, GT Asia and GT China series.
The field is completed by the Dream Racer Team's Honda Civic FK7 of Kim Byoung Hyun.
