TCR Japan: Shinohara vs Matsumoto at Autopolis

Seven weeks after the previous event at Okayama, TCR Japan returns into action for Rounds 7 and 8 at Autopolis.
Takuro Shinohara (Hitotsuyama Racing, Audi RS 3 LMS) and Takeshi Matsumoto (Team Wakayama, Volkswagen Golf GTI) will resume fighting for the titles of the Saturday and the Sunday series. So far, they have been in a league of their own, outpacing the rest of the field.
In the Saturday series, Shinohara exceeds Matsumoto by 24 points, while the latter leads the Sunday series by 2.
Behind them, 'Hirobon' (Birth Racing Project, CUPRA) and Ryo Shimono (Drago Corse, Honda Civic Type R) are in close contention for the third position in both series.
In Autopolis two new entries will join the field: Naoto Takeda and Masayoshi Oyama, both will be at the wheel of Honda Civic cars run by Team DreamDrive and Akiland Racing.
The two races will be streamed live at www.tcr-series.com, Saturday at 14:05 local time (06:05 CET) and Sunday at 09:35 local time (01:35 CET).
