TCR Japan's pre-season test at Fuji Speedway was cut short by the snow. After a wet first session in which drivers and teams focused on shaking down the cars, a sudden snowfall forced to cancel the afternoon session.
The fastest lap - 2:05.524 - was set by Resshu Shioya in his Team G/Motion Honda Civic Type R. Only one tenth behind him was 'Takeshi' who clocked an impressive 2:05.687 on his first time at the wheel of the brand-new Audi RS 3 LMS TCR run by BRP that Kenji Suzuki would take over in the second session.
The reigning champion 'Hirobon' posted the third fastest lap of 2:06.086 in the same BRP CUPRA he drove in 2021.
Other drivers who were able to hit the track before the disruption were 'Mototino' (55 Moto Racing Honda Civic), Toshihiro Kubota (J'S Racing Alfa Romeo Giulietta), Satoshi Takikawa (Team Motoyama Audi RS 3 LMS), Mineki Okura (Stile Corse Alfa Romeo Giulietta Veloce).
The championship will kick off at Fuji, on April 9/10.
