For its inaugural season, TCR Finland – Finnish Racing Championship’s premier category – has named Kumho as the series’ tyre supplier.
The deal covers two years, 2023 and 2024, when two tyre specifications will be used: S700 slick tyres and W701 wet-weather tyres.
Kumho’s Senior Vice President of Global Marketing, Janghyuk Yoon commented: “Building on years of technological expertise in motorsports, Kumho Tire is expanding its horizon as a partner of TCR competition worldwide. We will continue to strengthen our position as a high-performance tyre brand.”
TCR Finland promoter Mika Heinonen said: “I’m delighted that we have a global expert in TCR racing and tyres with Kumho as our partner. This partnership means we have high-quality and internationally tested product for our competitors. Additionally, with Kumho tyres being used in multiple series, it’s easier for Finnish drivers to race outside of Finland.”
TCR Finland adds to the other Kumho-shod series: TCR Australia, TCR Denmark, TCR Eastern Europe, TCR Europe, TCR South America, TCR Spain plus the TCR World Tour.
