TCR Australia resumes at Sandown Raceway

The sixth and penultimate event of TCR Australia is staged this weekend at Sandown Raceway, with WTCR race winner Néstor Girolami playing the guest star.
The Argentine will drive one of the Honda Civic FK7 cars run by Wall Racing alongside Tony D’Alberto and John Martin.
Will Brown (HMO Customer Racing, Hyundai i30 N) is in the position to manage a large leading margin of 116 points over Dylan O’Keeffe (Ashley Seward Motorsport, Alfa Romeo Giulietta), while D’Alberto lies in third position a further 29 points adrift.
At Sandown, the field will miss the Kelly Racing Subaru WRX cars that have suffered from a series of technical issues; the team will only run its pair of Holden Astra cars for André Heimgartner and Bryce Fullwood.
In the Audi camp, Garth Tander – the winner of Race 1 at The Bend – returns to the series replacing his wife Leanne at the wheel of a RS 3 LMS car fielded by the Melbourne Performance Centre.
The first race is schedule to start on Saturday at 13:10 local time (05:10 CET), while races 2 and 3 will follow on Sunday at 12:15 and 13:20 local times (04:15 and 05:20 CET). They will all be streamed live at www.tcr-series.com and www.tcr-series.tv.
