TCR Australia postpones the first event of the season

The opening event of the TCR Australia Series at Sydney Motorsport Park has been postponed.
Due to be held next weekend, Motorsport Australia, together with the Australian Racing Drivers’ Club operators of SMSP and the series promoter Australian Racing Group, has postponed the event due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation.
A new date will be announced in due course, with Motorsport Australia and ARDC to work closely together to find a suitable option to complete a round at the Sydney venue.

TCR Australia category manager Liam Curkpatrick said: “We are working very hard behind the scenes to provide answers to questions and to reconfigure the 2020 calendar and ensure, where possible, to minimise the impact. As always we will consult with our teams on our progress and where possible get feedback on options moving forward. It is important we all work together for the best possible result for the Series and all teams involved.”
