WSC Asia the Promoter of the TCR Asia Series have announced a novel to approach to getting the 2020 Season underway.
Facing the severe travel restrictions that remain in place throughout the Asian Region in response to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, the TCR Asia Series will be divided into TCR Asia North and TCR Asia South.
TCR Asia North begins this weekend at the Zhuzhou International Circuit in China, a double header run in conjunction with TCR China.
This will be followed by the highly prestigious Macau Grand Prix whilst a Grand final double header event will be held at the Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia in December.
Meanwhile TCR Asia South will begin at the Sepang Circuit in October and will then proceed to the Buriram Circuit in Thailand at the start of November and will then combine with TCR Asia North for the final two events in Macau and Malaysia.
Points will be scored separately for each North and South respectively with a separate TCR Asia Title awarded for the combined results of the Macau and the Grand Final event in Malaysia.
