The TCR Asia Series returns into action at Zhuhai International Circuit, for rounds 3 and 4 in combination with TCR China season's opening event.
The joint entry list features 18 drivers, including European stars Luca Engstler (Team Engstler Hyundai i30 N), Pepe Oriola (Indigo Racing Hyundai i30 N) and Daniel Lloyd (Dongfeng Honda MacPro Racing Honda Civic FK8).
To lead the rest of the field is current TCR Asia points leader Diego Moran who has switched from the Team Oettinger Volkswagen Golf GTI he had used in the season’s opener at Sepang to a Team Engstler-run Hyundai that was driven by Théo Coicaud in Malaysia.
Other competitors to watch are 2018 TCR China champion Alex Hui and lady driver Cherry Cheung who will be racing in Teamwork Motorsport Audi RS 3 LMS cars, Philippine’s youngster Daniel Miranda (Eurasia Motorsport Hyundai i30 N) and 2014 China Touring Car champion Martin Xie who teams up with Lloyd at the wheel of the second Dongfeng Honda MacPro Racing Honda Civic FK8.
The NewFaster Racing that dominated the TCR China championship in 2017 returns to the series with three entries: Huang Chu Han and Kenneth Look in a couple of Audi cars and Alex Liu in a CUPRA.
Both races will be streamed live at www.tcr-series.tv, Friday at 15:30 local time (09:30 CET) and Saturday at 11:35 local time (05:35 CET).
