Amongst the drivers who will join the TCR Eastern Europe series in 2020 are Szymon Ładniak from Poland and Michal Makeš from the Czech Republic, both are coming from the Renault Clio Cup Central Europe.
Ładniakì will drive the second Volkswagen Golf GTI car run by GT2 Motorsport. The team will expand to two cars for its 2020 campaign and retained last year’s TCR Eastern Europe runner up Jáchym Galáš.
Makeš, who won back-to-back titles in the Renault Clio Cup (2018 and 2019) will race a CUPRA run by Mičánek Motorsport.
“We have decided to race a CUPRA because they continue to support the TCR category and spare parts are easily available,” said Makeš who will begin testing in the next days. “I haven’t driven the car yet, so it’s really hard to say anything about my ambitions. We’ll see after the first test or after the season opener at the Hungaroring.”
