The 2018 TCR Swiss Trophy will be awarded this weekend, following the two races of the TCR Europe Series at Monza.
The trophy, established this year by Switzerland’s National Sporting Authority (Auto Sport Switzerland - ASS), has already awarded points to the competitors of two TCR Europe events – Zandvoort and Assen – TCR Italy’s opening event at Imola and TCR Germany’s event at the Red Bull Ring. Monza is the final round counting towards the trophy, with 50 points on offer.
Attila Tassi is currently leading the standings in the Hell Energy Racing KCMG Honda Civic Type R. The only other driver who is still in contention with him is Mikel Azcona (PCR Sport Cupra) who lies second, 15 points behind.
TCR Italy competitor Luigi Ferrara (V-Action Racing Alfa Romeo Giulietta) is third in the classification, 23 points off Tassi, but he won’t take part in this weekend’s event.
