At Autopolis, the fourth round of the Super Taikyu provided the very same outcome of the three previous events. The Audi Team DreamDrive Audi RS3 LMS driven by Shozo Tagahara, Takuya Shirasaka and Naoto Takeda set pole position, but once again the team was unable to convert this into its first victory.
Eventually it was the Motul Dome Racing Project Honda Civic shared by Takuya Kurosawa, Keishi Ishikawa and Hiroki Kato to cross the finish line in first position claiming the team’s third win of the season and the fourth for Honda.
The Audi Team DreamDrive car was classified second, with the BRP Audi of Koichi Okumura, Ken Akyoshi and Yoshimitsu Ueno in third position.
Only four TCR cars entered in the race, but they were fighting closely for the whole three hours.
In the standings, the Motul Dome Racing Project team leads with 70 points with a margin of 19 ahead of the Audi Team DreamDrive.
The next round will take place at Fuji on September 3.
