StarCom Racing, owned by former Daytona 500 winner Derrick Cope, announced the participation in five events of the 2024 IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge, running a former Bryan Herta Autosport Hyundai Elantra N.
The team will make its TCR debut next week at Sebring International Raceway in the second round of the series, later during the season the #12 Hyundai will race at Bowmanville, Road America, Indianapolis and Road Atlanta.
Nick Tucker and Andy Lally will share the wheel in Sebring’s two-hour race. Both are accomplished drivers; Tucker scored many wins in different categories, from karting, sprint cars, and NASCAR Craftsman Truck and Xfinity series races, while Lally has claimed over 50 wins in IMSA Series, with five of those at the famous Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona, he was also a podium finisher in the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
