The GH-Team AAI Honda Civic cars finished one-two in the final round of the TCR Chinese Taipei series at Lihpao Racing Park. Shi Shiwei and Tang Weifeng shared the winning #91 car, with Shi completing a clean sweep of victories - four out of four – and clinching the title in the A Group.
At the beginning of the 60-minute race it was the team’s sister car, the #15 driven by Chen Junhua, that led the field starting from the pole, while Shi dropped to third after making contact at the start with the #96 KOE Racing Honda of Su Yanming. Shi was able to recover and eventually stole the lead from his teammate in lap 12, five minutes before both drivers made the compulsory pit stop handing their cars to Tang and Liu Weizhi respectively.
Tang kept on leading for the rest of the race, with Liu following a few seconds behind; eventually, they were split by less than eight seconds at the finishing line. The third position went to Wu Yizhan and Gao Zilong in the #89 Liming Racing Honda Civic FK7 that won the B Group.
