The PMO Motorsport Lynk & Co 03 of José Manuel Sapag and Santiago Urrutia will start tomorrow from the pole position at Termas de Río Hondo in TCR South America’s second one-hour race of the season.
Urrutia was second fastest in the first part of the session reserved for guest drivers, with a lap of 1:48.997, while Sapag in the second part reserved for the series regulars set the fifth fastest lap of 1:50.025. Their times combined placed them on top of the list with 3:39.022, three tenths faster than the Squadra Martino Honda Civic Type R shared by Juan Àngel Rosso and Ricardo Risatti.
The W2 PRO GP CUPRA Leon Competición cars of Raphael Reis-Bernando Llaver (3:39.426) and Alceu Feldman-Matías Milla (3:39.479). will fill the second row of the grid.
The Crown Racing Honda of Néstor Girolami-Ignacio Montenegro qualified fifth (3:39.528) immediately ahead of the debutante Toyota Corolla GRS (3:39.532) driven by Thiago Camilo and Jorge Barrio, with the latter who was able to be fastest in the second part of the session with a lap of 1:49.342 that was the fourth fastest overall.
The points leader Fabricio Pezzini will start from P7 in the second PMO Motorsport Lynk & Co he shares with Carlos Okulovich (3:39.580). Esteban Guerrieri was the fastest overall, posting a 1:48.801 in the first part of the session, and the Squadra Martino Honda he shares with Fabio Casagrande qualified eighth (3:40.157). The ninth spot of the grid will be for the Scuderia Chiarelli Hyundai Elantra N of Mikel Azcona and Pedro Aizza.
In the standings, Reis and Rosso reduced their gaps from Pezzini to 18 and 22 points.
