The Campeonato de España Resistencia came to an end at Barcelona with a two-hour race that saw Santiago Concepción taking his second TCR-class victory of the season in his PCR Sport-run CUPRA.
The young Spaniard outpaced the TCR field in Qualifying, beating Amalia Vinyes’ Baporo Motorsport CUPRA by 1.2 seconds. Then Concepción imposed a quick and consistent pace during the whole race and took the chequered flag 2.2 seconds ahead of the CDS Engineering Audi RS 3 LMS shared by Mirco van Nostrum and Álvaro Fontes who secured the title in the TCR class.
Brothers Felipe and Victor Fernández recovered after an incident at the start and completed the podium three further seconds behind with the RC2 Junior Team CUPRA Leon Competición, while the pair of Calle Bergman and José Manuel De los Milagros finished fourth in their CUPRA entered by CDS Engineering.
