Robert Dahlgren drove his PWR Racing CUPRA to set pole position for the TCR Scandinavia Race 1 at Anderstorp.
After topping both the morning’s practice sessions and in Q1, the 2017 champion posted in Q2 a fastest lap of 1:37.779 that beat by one tenth the best effort of the current points leader Andreas Wernersson (1:37.904).
Nobody else was able to compete a lap in less than 1:38, as Mattias Andersson (1:38.152) and Dahlgren’s teammate Mikaela Åhlin-Kottulinsky (1:38.168) qualified third and fourth respectively, split by 16 thousandths of a second; they were followed by Tobias Brink and Andreas Ahlberg. Guest entry Jessica Bäckman set the eighth fastest lap, meaning that she will start from the pole position on the reverse grid for Race 2, with Tomas Engström alongside her.
The two races will start tomorrow at 12:35 and 15:20 (CET); live streaming at www.tcr-series.tv.
