Robert Dahlgren emerged as the fastest driver in a TCR Scandinavia’s wet Qualifying at Karlskoga. The PWR Racing’s driver and his CUPRA set the fastest laps in both Q1 and Q2. Mattias Andersson qualified his Honda Civic in second position while the pairing of Andreas Ahlberg and Tomas Engström will fill the second row of the grid for Race 1 with their Micke Kågered Racing Volkswagen Golf cars.
Tobias Brink and Mikaela Åhlin-Kottulinsky ranked in fifth and sixth positions and so will start from the front row of the reverse grid for Race 2, while Brink’s teammate Andreas Wernersson qualified in seventh position.
The Brink Motorsport team had to work hard to adapt to the wet weather conditions, with all three of their drivers fighting to make sure they made it through to Q2. It was Hannes Morin who lost the inner-team fight due to a last-minute, and vital improvement from championship contender Wernersson.
Dahlgren’s pole was worth five more points for the leader of the standings, whose advantage has been increased to 14 and 32 points over Wernersson and Brink respectively.
The two races will start tomorrow at 12:40 and 15:45 local time (CET) and will be streamed live at www.tcr-series.com and www.tcr-series.tv.
