Andrej Radoshnov took his first win of the season in Race 2 at Fort Groznyi, the final round of the 2020 TCR Russia championship.
In the warm light of sunset, the driver of the Carville Racing Audi, left no options to his rivals. Starting from the pole, he kept control of operations up to the chequered flag.
On a track where overtaking is not easy, the top positions didn’t change much, with the other Carville Racing driver Grigory Burlutskyi and LUKOIL Racing Team’s Ivan Lukashevich securing the other podium positions since lap one.
There was intense fight for fourth place during the final laps; eventually the 2019 champion Dmitry Bragin managed to narrowly beat his successor as TCR Russia champion Kirill Ladygin and Race 1 winner Klim Gavrilov; the latter had previously elbowed his way through the middle of the field. With these results, Gavrilov and Bragin moved into second and third in the championship classification.
The fight for P7 was won by Mikhail Mityaev ahead of Alexey Dudukalo who eventually dropped to fourth in the final standings.
