Pepe Oriola (1st): “It was a very good session and I love Monza... At the beginning, we tried slipstreaming with the three cars of the team, but I got the biggest tow from one of the Audi cars, it was really amazing the way my car was sucked forward. You really see the difference when you have a sedan car in front of you. The SEAT seems already very well-balanced, so it looks promising.”
Roberto Colciago (3rd): “It’s a day-and-night contrast with the situation at Spa, where I could do nothing with the car, because of the heavy success ballast. Here it is much better, and at least the car behaves normally and reacts to the changes. But it’s only the start of the weekend, so I don’t want to make many predictions…”
Davit Kajaia (4th): “I am still learning the track, as I only drove once here, in a Legends event. It’s totally different with a TCR car, I still have to fine-tune my driving, and especially slipstreaming, which is so crucial here, but I love the track. With much less weight, we should be better than in Spa, and it feels already better on the straights, we now have to work to correct some excessive oversteering.”
