Benjamin Lessennes (1st): “Topping the rankings is a good start, although it is not meaningful at all. We raced here two weeks ago with the TCR Benelux, in pretty similar conditions, so it was a good preparation and we had the set-up done. Still, the track was more slippery today, we haven’t approached the lap times of two weeks ago.”
Frédéric Vervisch (2nd):“It is not only my first time on the Audi, but also the first time I drive a front-wheel drive car! So, second fastest is not too bad, although we know it doesn’t mean much. I have to discover a lot of things this weekend, including standing start, but it’s nice to be already on a good rhythm, although the track is still very green. I’m on a step-by-step approach…”
Rob Huff (3rd): “I am just feeling the car and still learning. The car I’m driving is different from the one I drove two weeks ago, which was the test car, so I’m familiarizing with it and working with my engineer. The track was quite dirty this morning, although the line was dry, and I also had to discover some new exercises like warming up the tires…”
