Mat'o Homola (fastest): "Oschersleben is relatively close to home, but this is the first time I'm racing here. I quite like the track, which is technical and very flat. It's nice to be on top of the time sheets, but we still have quite a lot of work to do to find the ideal balance. Still, a good start of the weekend."
Petr Fulín (fourth fastest): "I did quite a good lap time, which put me in provisional third, but right after that, there was smoking coming into the cockpit and I preferred to stop immediately. We put on a new engine after Thursday test and I hope everything is ok. The car feels good and starts showing excellent performance, although today gearbox downshifting seemed a little bit slower."
Gianni Morbidelli (twelfth fastest): "Not a great session and we don't understand why. We tried a number of things in terms of set-up, but the effect of the changes do not seem to give the logical effects, so we are struggling a bit. The surface on this track is quite peculiar and we are having trouble getting the tyres into the right temperature."
