PRS Motorsport will race an Alfa Romeo Giulietta Veloce in the TCR Italy Championship.
The team owned by Oriano Agostini boasts an impressive list of titles won in rally and racing, including four in the Alfa Romeo 147 Cup between 2004 and 2007, one each in the Class N4 of the Italian Touring Car Championship (1993), Citroën Saxo Cup (1999) and SEAT León Supercópa (2010).
“We have evaluated different models before choosing the car to run; eventually the Giulietta was the one that impressed us the most. And the fact that we can benefit from a direct relationship with Romeo Ferraris engineering was also a crucial factor. We are excited to join TCR Italy that has proved to be a top-level series and we haven’t dumped the idea of fielding a second car,” Agostini said.
Romeo Ferraris Operations Manager, Michela Cerruti commented: “I’m personally pleased with this new collaboration, because TCR Italy remains one of Romeo Ferraris’ priorities and I’m convinced that PRS Motorsport has the potential to fight for the top positions.”
