Gianni Morbidelli: “It was a good session, but I reckon that knowing well the track was an advantage in this first session. Still, the car seems well balanced and has good grip, I see some improvement room in braking.”
Mikhail Grachev: “The car is much better than in Malaysia, the team has done a great job in analyzing the Sepang data, correcting some things and improving others. It’s my first time in Shanghai, so I am happy with my personal performance. I like the track and now we will work on fine-tuning the set-up.”
Stafano Comini: “I was not looking for lap times, just learning the track and getting to know the car in this configuration with success ballast. For sure, this track, with a lot of acceleration zones and braking in corners, is not the ideal one to be carrying an extra passenger such as ballast!”
Tengyi Jiang: “It was ok but I have a big oversteering issue in some corners, like T1 and T9, and mostly those on the right. It is strange because the oversteering comes very suddenly, we need to look into this and also into gear ratios, which were not ideal.”
