The inaugural season of the Pirelli World Challenge's TCR Class comes to an end this weekend at Watkins Glen, where Ryan Eversley and Michael Lewis will fight to be crowned the first TCR champion in North America.
Eversley (RealTime Honda Civic) is currently in top of the standings, seven points clear of Lewis (Bryan Hertha Autosport Hyundai i30 N).
Mathematically, Lewis' teammate Marc Wilkins is still in contention as he lies 25 points behind Eversley, but with 52 still on offer his chances are slim. However, he may play a crucial role in helping Lewis. In fact, repeating the results of the latest event at Utah Motorsports Campus - where he finished second in both races behind Lewis, who also scored the additional points for the pole positions - would deliver the title to his teammate. In that event, two third places would not be enough for Eversley, who will count on his own teammate Mason Filippi in the fight against the Hyundai duo.
For the last event of the season, the series welcomes back Jérimy Daniel in the Racing Company Audi RS3 LMS, while Eddie Killeen will make his first appearance at the wheel of an Audi run by TWOth Autosport.
Both races will be streamed live at www.tcr-series.tv, Saturday at 3:00pm local (21:00 CET) and Sunday at 3:25pm local (21:25 CET).
