With a pair of TCR wins already on their resume in 2020, Copeland Motorsports will be looking for more with the addition of Alexandre Papadopulos alongside Circuit of the Americas double race winner Tyler Maxson, at the Virginia International Raceway.
“Obviously I look forward to working with Dean and the entire Copeland Motorsports crew and getting back into the Hyundai TCR,” explained Papadopulos. “I am excited for the chance to obtain some race experience through SRO and TC America in the same class I compete in with IMSA, and I look forward to transitioning into the sprint race platform as a refreshing change and new challenge.”
After driving an Alfa Romeo Giulietta for KMW Motorsports in the 2019 TC America, during the current season Papadopulos is competing in the IMSA Michelin Challenge at the wheel of a Hyundai Veloster N TCR for Forty7 Motorsports.
Papadopulos replaces Nikko Reger who was driving the #51 Hyundai in TC America’s opener at COTA.
