2017 TCR Italy champion Nicola Baldan will make his WTCR debut at the Hungaroring at the wheel of a Target Competition Hyundai Elantra N.
"I don't think I have the words to explain what I'm feeling right now. I was dreaming this moment since I was a child and it was my main goal during all my career!" commented Baldan, who is fighting for the TCR Italy crown in a Hyundai i30 N run by Target Competition. "I know it will be tricky, as I have to discover the car and the track. I have lot to learn, I'll work close with the team to reach the best possible results. I will have fun, but I also want to be competitive."
"We are very happy to extend our racing programme in WTCR with a third car for Baldan alongside Andreas and Jessica Bäckman. Fielding three cars in Hungary is a big effort for us, but it will help to improve our performance. We saw Nicola in action in TCR Italy and we know his potential. It's a great chance for him and we are so pleased to support him in his WTCR debut." said team manager Andreas Gummerer.
