Nicola Baldan will rejoin the TCR Italy championship from this weekend at Vallelunga, driving a Hyundai i30 N car run by Hungary-based M1RA team.
Baldan has completely recovered, following a period of convalescence after the incident occurred during the Qualifying session at Imola, on July 28th, when his car rolled several times and the reigning Italian champion suffered from a broken collarbone. He is currently fourth in the championship standings, with one race win at Le Castellet.
“It is a great honour to support a driver who is a reigning TCR champion, so the whole team is excited about this new challenge,” said team principal Dávid Bári.
"After the crash in Imola I thought my season was over. My only goal was to fix my health. I hurt myself and have no problem to say I was scared. The following month was the worst for me: the surgery, the rehabilitation and so many thoughts in my mind. Then M1RA and his team manager Dávid Bári offered help to finish the season. It was impossible to say no, I have strongly wanted to come back as soon as possible!" said Baldan.
