Néstor Girolami to join TCR Australia at Sandown

Another international guest star will join TCR Australia for the next event at Sandown Raceway.
In its effort to support Tony D’Alberto’s attempt of closing the gap in the standings from Will Brown, Wall Racing has invited the Argentine WTCR title contender for driving one of the team’s three Honda Civic cars.
The deal has been put together with the cooperation of JAS Motorsport that will support Girolami with a race engineer.

“I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to race in TCR Australia,” Girolami said. “I’ve never raced there and I’m looking forward to this new experience. Wall Racing is an excellent team and they have already won one a race this season. I’m sure I can work well together with Tony D’Alberto and John Martin to deliver some good results, bit it won’t be easy, because the level is very high with many top drivers who have experience in Supercars and GT racing and some promising youngsters. I know the Civic very well, but the Michelin tyres are new to me, so getting used to the way this makes the car handle will be the big challenge initially.”
