Mathilda Racing and Andreas Gülden continued their winning streak in the VLN, as they won the TCR class in the third round of the endurance series.
Sharing the car with the team’s new recruit Moritz Oestreich, Gülden converted pole position into a victory at the wheel of a new Cupra TCR car. The pair completed 26 laps in the four-hour 60. ADAC ACAS H&R Cup, beating the Audi RS3 LMS driven by the Norwegian trio of Håkon Schjærin, Alte Gulbrandsen and Kenneth Østvold by 41 seconds.
In the process, Gülden set a new record lap for TCR cars at the Nordschleife with an impressive 8:46.438.
Third place went to the Lubner Motorsport Honda Civic of Roger Vögeli, Fredric Yerly and Roland Schmid.
The LADA Vesta TCR that was due to make its debut in the series did not take the start.
The series fourth round will take place on 7 July.
