At the end of an intense and successful season, Mason Filippi will represent the USA next week in the Touring Car Cup, within the frame of the inaugural FIA Motorsport Games at Vallelunga.

I will be racing with Target Competition a proven team with many wins and championships, and I am very thankful to be able to drive with them. The competition is fierce and it will be a whole new world for me at Vallelunga. I am going into the week with high hopes and excitement! I am thankful for this amazing opportunity and I cannot wait to battle some of the best Touring Car drivers around the world. This is a once in a lifetime experience and opportunity,” said Filippi.
For the Vallelunga event, the 21-year-old Filippi will switch to a Hyundai i30 N car after he drove Hyundai Veloster N cars throughout season: him and co-driver Harry Gottsacker they finished runner up in the TCR class of the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge behind their Bryan Herta Autosport teammates Mark Wilkins and Michael Lewis, with one race win at Road America. He also took part in five of the seven events of TC America for Copeland Motorsport, claiming six victories and finishing third in the final standings.
